The Ocean City Recreation & Parks Department and the Delaware Volleyball Academy (DVA) have partnered to offer a volleyball club. Athletes can expect to learn motor skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork and the fundamentals of volleyball. DVA brings a fun, energetic coaching staff with various backgrounds in teaching, fitness and volleyball!. Players that make the team will be given a full schedule of practices.

The fall youth flag football league for both boys and girls is the fastest growing league at Ocean City Recreation and Parks! The five-on-five game format is recognizable to football fans and easy to learn. The offensive team plays for a first down and a touchdown in the end zone. The defensive team covers receivers, rushes the passer, and grabs flags to make “tackles.” Kids will learn football fundamentals while having fun and making new friends.

Get your day off to a great start with a heart pumping, energizing workout! You can work at your own pace, which makes this peppy program perfect for all ages and fitness levels. The class includes a 40-minute aerobic workout, ending with resistance training (hand weights) and an optional abdominal routine. From the good old soft shoe sounds of yesteryear to the foot stompin’ rhythm of today, you will learn to tap your way to fitness and fun!

226509 - DOG OBEDIENCE

Does your dog walk you, jump on visitors, and chew on everything except that expensive toy you spent hours selecting? Then it might be time for an obedience class! Dogs naturally want to please their owners and certain skills are necessary to communicate what you want from them. This intensive 8–week class helps you establish a new, positive relationship from which both you and your pet can benefit.

The Puppy Class is for pups 8 weeks to 6 months and focuses on socialization as well as house breaking procedures and training methods. The Beginner Class is for the inexperienced dog, while the Advanced Class is for the more experienced dog that has already graduated from prior classes. Puppy and Beginner owners should not bring dogs on the first class.

Inoculation records are required. The class meets on Tuesdays except for the last class, which will be held on Thursday.

The indoor game of soccer is much different than the outdoor game. It moves faster, many more goals are scored, and there are fewer players on the field, which allows more contact with the ball. The dasher walls keep the ball confined and moving fast. This game is exciting and is sure to be a favorite with the soccer community.
